Second Collaborative Project With A Turkish School

GCIS believes that intercultural learning helps in developing better global citizens on one hand and on the other these activities help students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate an increasingly connected and diverse global society to succeed in the 21st century.

Our friendship with Emel Mustafa UşaklıAnadoluLisesi, a Turkish School located in Aydın, Turkey is helping to build bridges between two wonderful countries. Second time, in the month of April, our students from grades 7 and 8 had few enriching sessions on the spring festivals of both the countries.

Apart from discussions the teams shared presentations and videos on “Mesir paste festival’ of Turkey and on ‘Holi’. The sessions not only helped our students to learn about themselves and their culture in a better way but also helped them realize that we are all tied together as citizens of the global community.
