Proud Moment Ms. Roslin Richard Wins Global Handwriting Contest

GCIS is proud to celebrate the extraordinary achievement of Ms. Roslin Richard, our Student Advisor and SEND Department In-Charge for CBSE!

Ms. Roslin has won first place in the Adults category of the Functional Handwriting (Cursive) group at the World Handwriting Contest 2024, organised by Handwriting for Humanity in New York. This prestigious competition draws thousands of entries from around the world, and winners receive certificates and global recognition across five competitive categories.

Handwriting has been a lifelong passion for Ms. Roslin, nurtured by her father’s encouragement and her teachers’ recognition during her school years. “When I was in Grade 3, my dad often praised my handwriting, and my teachers would mark ‘neat’ on every page. This inspired me to explore different fonts and styles,” she fondly recalls.

From scribbling on sand and bark as a child to professionally teaching handwriting since 2004, Ms. Roslin’s journey is a testament to her creativity and dedication. For her, handwriting is more than just an art—it’s a therapeutic tool and a way to transform lives. “I still write in different fonts, even during stressful times—it helps me cope with life’s challenges,” she shares.

Beyond her exceptional handwriting skills, Ms. Roslin is a multi-faceted professional: an Educational Psychologist, Child Psychologist, Special Educator, Graphologist, NLP Practitioner, and Brain Gym Instructor. Her journey continues to inspire students and educators alike, showing how passion and perseverance can lead to extraordinary success.

Congratulations, Ms. Roslin Richard, on this well-deserved international honour!
