Celebrating Culture Through Food

Intercultural awareness was celebrated on 30th July under the theme ‘Cuisine’. Food outlets, each class representing a country, with a variety of mouthwatering homemade delicious dishes tempted and attracted each and every one alike.

Students researched the countries of their class, presented their research through a rich diversity of recipes and demonstrated why particular foods are so special. An exhibition of stalls offered students a glimpse into the cultures, and in many cases a taste of some of the popular foods, of the many exhibiting countries. Countries represented included: Spain, Italy, China, Greece, Congo, England, Japan, Australia, Russia, France, Canada, Brazil, Czech Republic and New Zealand.

Relishing and sharing the food, happiness reigned the Cambridge Block. In under one hour, students were able to ‘travel the world.’
