Global City International School Bengaluru, authorized by the Cambridge Assessment International Examinations, hosted Cambridge Global Perspectives training programme for teachers of the Cambridge schools across India from 26th to 27th March 2018. It is the first time in India and globally the second venture, a new programme introduced for both Primary and Lower Secondary levels.

Educators registered for the training course are attending the trainings under the International Teacher Trainers Mr. Russell Michael Carey and Ms. Dawn Rosamond Harris from United Kingdom. It is aimed to give participants practical insight into the interdisciplinary, skills based programme for 5 to 14 year olds available for first teaching from June 2018.

Cambridge Global Perspectives is a new cross-curricula subject. It focuses on developing critical thinking, research skills, communication and creativity. It will also allow children to study in-depth with a global awareness of environmental and social issues. In addition, it is a skill-based interdisciplinary subject of higher order.

This initiative will prove helpful for teachers PAN India in meeting global standards of excellence.
