The last day of the AFS South Zone School Meet 2025 at Global City International School was a heartfelt celebration of reflection, gratitude, and global connection.
The day opened with the soulful AFS Song, followed by a warm welcome address by Ms. Sundari Surya. Ms. Diya Badgel, National Director of AFS India, then shared an inspiring vision for AFS’s evolving role in shaping global citizens.
A powerful keynote by Dr. Geetha Narayanan, an AFS returnee and pioneer in progressive education, challenged us to reimagine the future of learning and inspired all present to think beyond borders.
The event continued with moving stories from AFS alumni of GCIS, offering firsthand insights into the transformative power of cultural exchange and lifelong friendships built across continents.
Mrs. Angela Roye expressed heartfelt gratitude in her vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective effort and spirit that made this meet unforgettable. Certificates were presented to all participants, marking the end of this meaningful three-day journey.
As we bid farewell, we carried home new friendships, broader horizons, and a renewed commitment to the AFS mission, building cultural bridges, nurturing global mindsets, and leading with empathy and purpose.
